I cannot believe the 2017/2018 school year has already come to a close. It has been a great year getting to know all of you. I hope each one of you has a wonderful, fun, and safe summer!
See you in August!
I've so enjoyed getting to know the staff this past year and am impressed by each one's commitment to understanding mental health and wellness, and supporting it in our students through such a great variety of arts, music, physical activity and supportive relationships.
Most of all, I've enjoyed spending time with such a wonderful group of young people. I left each day this year wishing it were longer! I'm very much looking forward to seeing you all again throughout the summer and when we gather together for school again in the fall.
Have a wonderful summer, everyone!

Thank you to everyone from the community who helped to make Cultural Week a success. We had beautiful weather and a great selection of learning activities. Although the recent rain has prevented us from going on our Twin Falls camping trips, we managed to grab two days of sun to take students out on the river for some fishing. I hope you all find time to relax and enjoy your summer.Mahsi, Creator's blessings to all.
Cree Language and Culture with Niles
This year was really fun year in cree class, the students enjoyed learning about the cultural stories. It was a BLAST teaching all of our students. It takes the whole village to rise a child.
Thanks to the people who came out to teach during the school year as well, and hope next year they'll continue to come and share their knowledge with the students

Dear K4 Parents,
We give you back your children, the same children you confidently entrusted to our care last fall. We give them back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were then.
Although they would have attained their growth in spite of us, it has been our pleasure and privilege to watch their personalities unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development.
We give them back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in our wonderful classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other.
We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. We wish it could go on indefinitely, but give them back we must. Take care of them, for they are precious.
Remember that we shall always be interested in your children and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they becomes. Their joys and sorrows we will always be happy to share.
Thank you for sharing your most precious gifts with us. God Bless!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped and supported the Grade One class this year. Certainly, none of us could have done it without the hard work and care of our TA Judy Blesse. Thank you for another great year Judy! I would also like to say how much I have enjoyed being with the Grade One class this year. I will miss them sorely and wish them all success in Grade Two and beyond!
A cool and restful summer to all! I look forward to seeing you all again in September.

Debra and I would like to wish all students a good summer! The best thing parents can do for their children is read with them or encourage them to read independently! Also, students are encouraged to log on to Mathletics and practice their skills to prevent the Summer Slide in their skills! We will see everyone in September!Ms. T and Debra
I can't believe it is already June and we are getting ready for summer break! This year went by very fast! The grade 6 class had a great year with many laughs and lots of learning. We hope everyone had a fantastic year! Be safe and enjoy the summer holidays!
Grade 7 and 8
Happy June Garden River,
Summer has finally arrived. May was an exciting month in grade 7/8 which finished off with lots of fun on the cultural grounds. For the final two weeks of class we are going to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate our accomplishments. It has been a distinct pleasure being the grade 7/8 teacher this year at SGS. Each and everyone of my students has taught me something new and made me smile. I wish everyone from my class success next year in grade 8/9 and I hope everyone has a safe and restful summer. See you all next year!!
Have a great summer! I look forward to seeing you all in the fall!Mr. Tyler

This has been a truly amazing year. I can talk about it all day, the things that changed, the things that stayed the same. The things I wished would change, the things I wished would stay the same. I am sure I could make a Hollywood movie based on just this year. But I won't. Instead, I will wish you all a fun summer and I am looking forward to seeing you again next year.Nick Christofalos
